Streat Toast is a casual café set up along Strickland Crescent in Deakin, offering a straightforward spot for coffee breaks and quick bites. This isn’t a sit-down dining experience but more of a relaxed, roadside pick-up place with a handful of simple outdoor seats tucked under leafy trees, making it easy to pause and enjoy some fresh air while you eat.

If you find yourself working or wandering nearby, Streat Toast fits well as a convenient stop to grab a well-made coffee paired with something satisfying without fuss. The coffee consistently draws praise for its quality, making it a solid choice whether you're starting your morning or catching a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The café’s vibe leans into casual comfort, with a few milk crate seats that invite locals to linger briefly and soak up the neighborhood feel rather than settle in for long.

The menu leans heavily on toasted sandwiches and wraps, with options like a beef sandwich, BLT with turkey bacon on Turkish bread, and schnitzel or halloumi rolls. These choices reflect a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to café food—comforting, easily eaten on the go or at one of the outdoor seats. Portions seem generous enough to fill a lunch spot for workers or visitors looking for something more substantial than just a snack.

Streat Toast can get busy around the lunch hour, so it’s worth calling ahead if you’re ordering something specific to avoid a wait. Pricing is a bit on the high side for a food van-style operation, but the freshness and flavors tend to justify the spend for those nearby or passing through. The friendly and customer-focused staff help make the quick service feel a little more personal.

Ideal for anyone who likes their coffee strong and straightforward, paired with a satisfying toasted sandwich or wrap, Streat Toast suits locals who appreciate quick, quality food without the trappings of a formal café. Best visits are probably on sunny days when stepping outside for a short break to eat under the shade of trees feels restorative within a busy day.

The coffee is great. I have had the Istanbul toaster sandwich and the bacon and egg roll. Both were beautiful. Staff are friendly and very customer focused

Great chips and chicken salt. Prices are a little high for a simple lunch but the food is tasty and convenient for those in the area. I would recommend ringing ahead to place your order if ordering around lunch time as the van can get busy.

If you're looking for a high quality sandwich, toast, or burger these guys are no. 1. Great street food at affordable prices in a location where there are not many other food choices available. Really saves the trip driving over to Deakin shops or Equinox (not that you want to anyway with the quality toast that this mop makes). Highly recommend it. Regards @fooderarri
